Air Quality & Noise Analysis

Air quality and pollutants as well as excessive noise and vibration can affect our communities, our health, and our environment. As the environment continues to evolve, whether due to climate change or specific impacts of a project, finding the answers to mitigate the effects on our environment is critical. The VHB Air Quality and Noise Team provides state-of-the-art air quality, greenhouse gas (GHG), noise, and vibration services to a variety of public and private clients. Our breadth of experience allows us to creatively navigate complex assessments of air quality and noise impacts to deliver mutually beneficial solutions to both our clients and the public. VHB’s attentive approach to air quality and noise evaluations results in engaging reports and assessments, informative public presentations, and continuous client communication.

Air Quality & Greenhouse Gases

With experience throughout the East Coast, VHB is well-versed in technology-enabled examinations of emissions from highway, rail, industrial, and private development projects. We leverage our extensive knowledge of federal and state agencies to strategically guide clients through the assessment of air quality for applicable federal processes, such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), or state and local environmental review procedures, policy review, and permitting requirements.

Noise & Vibration

VHB has been a reliable and experienced partner for acoustical analysis and noise barrier design services since the 1990s. VHB’s experience with noise and vibration analyses encompasses the expansion of major intermodal transportation facilities, the creation of expansive managed lanes on a metropolitan highway, offshore wind permitting and full campus industrial noise evaluations.
