VHB has again been honored with the Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Award, which recognizes the most charitable companies in Massachusetts. Of all engineering and design firms listed, VHB ranked #1 for charitable contributions—an honor VHB is proud to have earned. Accepting the award on behalf of VHB were Rob Nagi (Director, Transportation Planning and Operation) and Brianne Belschner (Autodesk Model-Based Design Lead), who help lead VHB Cares, our employee-led philanthropic program.
Since VHB’s founding in 1979, the company and its employees have raised $4.7 million for charitable organizations through VHB Cares. This giving program allows each office to choose the charitable organizations they wish to support, based on their personal interests and passions. VHB matches donations made by employees and also offers the flexibility to participate in community events that matter to them.
VHB Cares hosts several fundraising and team-building events throughout the year. The largest annual event since 1999, known as VBay, is a fun, week-long online auction of donated items, daily raffles, and other donation activities. In April 2024, VHB employees raised over $70,000 during VBay, which featured VHB Spirit Week activities, including a scavenger hunt, daily step count goals, swag day, and more.
