On November 20, VHB thought leaders shared insights and presented at the annual Vermont Development Conference (VDC). Real estate advisors White + Burke hosted the event, which provided industry inspiration, networking opportunities, and engaging discussions on current issues in the real estate development and land use fields.
Members of our Land Development, Landscape Architecture, Site Investigation and Remediation, Cultural Resources, and Environmental Planning teams connected with industry colleagues and highlighted VHB’s recent successful Land Development initiatives in Vermont, including the Killington Village Master Plan, the OnLogic Global Headquarters, and the Holiday Inn Site Redevelopment.
Vermont Director of Site Investigation and Remediation Kurt Muller shared his insights during the panel discussion, “Leveraging Brownfields to Meet Vermont’s Housing Crisis.” The session focused on how developers can invest in brownfields redevelopment to build new housing in Vermont, along with the legal and economic opportunities and challenges associated with this initiative. Panelists discussed how developers can streamline the site investigation and corrective action planning phases, tap into existing state resources, and address potential liabilities.
VHB is helping advance development initiatives across Vermont, including renewable energy, commercial, hospitality, and residential projects, offering a full suite of integrated planning, design, and engineering services to support developers, architects, municipalities, and institutions.
