VHB is pleased to announce that Jay Jenkins has joined our team as Georgia Real Estate & Institutions Market Leader. With a career spanning more than two decades, Jay will play a critical role in advancing VHB’s real estate and institutional market reach throughout the state, while helping our clients with development and infrastructure projects that inspire, elevate higher education, and support healing environments across our healthcare communities.
Jay will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers helping our clients respond to Georgia’s pressing need for expansion in healthcare and education, along with resilient real estate solutions to accommodate growth.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and innovative approaches from his previous roles. Most recently, he served as a Principal of Higher Education and Operations at May Architecture, where he oversaw significant growth and provided comprehensive architectural and project management services for public and private clients across markets, including educational and cultural institutions. In prior roles, he led complex construction projects for campus services at the Georgia Institute of Technology and oversaw shopping center development and property management at JEBCO Ventures.
Jay’s notable projects have focused on improving the student experience at campuses across the state, including Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia and overseeing significant institutional projects that have enhanced community infrastructure. His contributions have consistently demonstrated a commitment to collaboration and a collective vision between clients, planners, designers, and engineers.

Jay’s contributions to industry organizations and his commitment to professional service underscore his dedication to advancing the field. He has been actively involved with the Construction Owners Association of America, serving on the National Conference Committee, National Education Committee, and as the Georgia Chapter Treasurer. He holds a Master of Science in Building Construction and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.
