VHB is pleased to welcome Marco Barbarossa, PE, as the Southeast Regional Technology Enabled Lead, working to help us harness the power of new technologies for Florida and Georgia clients. At VHB, Marco will spearhead programs that enhance project delivery for our clients and leverage our robust technology-enabled consulting services across all VHB markets including transportation, energy, real estate, institutions, and state and local government.
A civil engineer with a strong business background, Marco’s more than 20 years of experience spans multiple countries and markets. He most recently served as a portfolio strategist and manager of projects for a large professional services consultant helping to transform Florida and Puerto Rico communities through technical, scientific, and project delivery for both public and private clients. At VHB, Marco will help evolve data-informed applications and core services to support markets and service practices that integrate technology into efficient, innovative operations and processes.

Marco’s leadership and insight in cultivating the utilization of artificial intelligence, digital twins, model-based design and other innovative, data-informed applications will help VHB continue to be at the forefront of using technology to solving our clients’ and communities most complex challenges.

Marco received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering Management from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and an Executive MBA from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. In 2015 he was honored by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise with their Exceptional Contribution Award. He currently serves the City of Orlando as an Audit Board Member and is a former Board Member of the Financial Subcommittee of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA).
