VHB Gulf Coast was named a Best Place To Work by the Tampa Bay Business Journal—one of only 60 workplaces in Tampa to receive the honor in a highly competitive market. Employees and their families celebrated placing in the Top 15 in the Medium Sized Business category with fun, food, and refreshments on April 26 at Steinbrenner Field.
VHB's Gulf Coast is a team of 33 passionate engineers, scientists, planners, and designers in our Tampa and Sarasota offices who are partnering on some of the most transformational projects in the Greater Tampa Bay region, including design services for the Water Street Tampa development and Moffitt McKinley Hospital, as well as planning services for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority and the Pinellas County Sustainability and Resiliency Action Plan.
Our generational company culture includes flexibility and an evolving workplace with great benefits, such as parental caregiver leave for birthing parents; Care.com membership for caregiving and housekeeping assistance; tuition reimbursement which encourages professional development; honorariums that reimburse and reward employees for technical papers and conference presentations; the LEADS signature leadership development program for professional growth; and much more.
Employees are active in the community and support charitable activities through VHB Cares and Green Team employee resource groups at events like Miles for Moffitt and the Pinellas County Living Shoreline Event, where we helped place 700 oyster bags to create a living reef.
“Our VHB Gulf Coast office is passionate about making meaningful contributions to our community,” said Matt Lamb, Southeast Regional Manager. “You see that not only in our volunteer work but in all the great projects we deliver to clients to address critical population, climate, and energy challenges throughout a fast-growing region of the Sunshine State.”
