VHB is proud to announce two pivotal leadership appointments in the Northeast Region that will further elevate the firm’s ability to deliver innovative solutions and shape meaningful outcomes for clients and communities alike. Joe Pizzurro has been promoted to Northeast Regional Manager, and Nancy Doon will now serve as Managing Director of the New York City office. Together, they will play a key role in guiding VHB’s strategic initiatives, fostering innovation, and equipping certain teams to tackle the region’s most pressing challenges.
Since joining VHB as Managing Director of the NYC office in 2022, Joe Pizzurro has led the NYC office through remarkable growth. Under Joe’s leadership, VHB has strengthened client relationships and delivered exceptional project outcomes, including securing the MTA Program Management & Design Services Contract, confidential hospitality projects, and critical healthcare projects. Joe’s forward-thinking leadership style and ability to align VHB’s skillset with client needs have driven the firm’s growing reputation for excellence in the Northeast.

Nancy Doon, previously Northeast Environmental Service Leader, has been a cornerstone of VHB’s NYC operations since its inception. Her leadership on transformative projects like the Greater East Midtown Rezoning—the largest Manhattan rezoning project in more than 10 years—as well as the Lower Concourse North Rezoning and the Creedmoor Redevelopment Mixed-Use Project, has left a lasting impact on the city’s future. In 2024, Nancy was also selected as a Stockholder Nominee for VHB’s Board of Directors, further underscoring her commitment to advancing VHB’s mission.
