VHB to Present at 2024 NECA Environmental 101 Seminar, Spotlighting Innovative Energy Solutions

Ryan Scott, Team Leader – Energy Utilities, will present at the upcoming Northeast Energy and Commerce Association (NECA) 2024 Environmental 101 seminar on July 25 in Worcester, MA. This meeting will give an overview of how the energy industry is affected by environmental regulations and policy, with presenters discussing real world applications of regulations through case studies of various energy projects. Director of Natural Sciences Vivian Kimball will also be in attendance.

Emphasizing VHB’s presence as an energy industry leader, Ryan’s presentation will focus on the connection between wetland resources and energy projects. He will discuss regulatory implications for maintenance work and new development and how this can affect project design and scheduling.

In addition to highlighting the important differences between state and federal regulations in the New England states, Ryan will also inform of key distinctions related to regional administration of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
