Model-Based Design Lead Kyle Rosenmeyer recently met with Bentley Premier Scholars from across the globe to introduce VHB’s innovative Copilot for Bentley tool, an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant designed to significantly enhance productivity and efficiency for Bentley users. VHB developed the tool that creates a seamless connection for users across the Bentley software ecosystem. Bentley Copilot answers technical queries and uncovers hidden information, simplifies troubleshooting, and boosts productivity.
“By replacing traditional web searches with a convenient chat tool in Microsoft Teams, Bentley Copilot has become a digital coworker that is accelerating the rate of learning for CAD users in an obvious way,” said Kyle.
The session, hosted by Bentley, was attended by Bentley Premier Scholars, an exclusive program that recognizes more than 250 industry leaders. Kyle offered participants, from more than 50 engineering firms across Europe, United States, and Australia, an immersive, hands-on workshop to build the Bentley Copilot tool themselves, and deploy it to users at their firms. In one hour, over 20 custom Copilot for Bentley tools were created, and many more participants plan to incorporate a custom AI assistant. The ease of deployment, combined with the tool's capabilities represents a significant advancement for engineers eager to embrace AI innovations.
Kyle’s presentation highlighted the transformative potential of AI in the evolving landscape of infrastructure design. With the Bentley Copilot tool, VHB is using AI to elevate digital project delivery with clients, drive innovation, and advance technical adoption (and training!) across the industry.
