VHB welcomes Audra Rojek, AICP, as Transportation Planning Manager in Atlanta. In this role, Audra will provide leadership and insight on transportation systems and collaborate with community planning, design, and environmental teams on critical transportation projects that are shaping the metro Atlanta area.
Audra joins VHB from a multinational engineering and design firm, where she led public engagement efforts and developed an array of multimodal transportation plans and studies for clients including the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Association (MARTA). She brings more than 15 years of experience in transportation planning in the Atlanta region and has served on the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Atlanta Board for six years, most recently as At-Large Director.
“We are thrilled to have Audra join our team at a critical time of growth in mobility and transit in Atlanta,” said Fabricio Ponce, Managing Director. “Clients will benefit from her keen understanding of issues facing the region today and the positive impact that transportation planning can have on our communities, from expanding transit to equity in the built environment.”
Audra has worked extensively with clients on outreach and transit hub projects to improve the ridership experience in counties across the region. In her role at VHB, she will lead multidisciplinary teams to advance transportation planning in local, county, and regional transportation plans and studies, the City of Atlanta Vision Zero Action Plan, and ongoing work with MARTA expanding mobility and transit to communities throughout the region.
“I am eager to contribute to VHB’s success in the region and continue to build the VHB brand in Atlanta,” Audra shared. “VHB has a reputation for communicating complex technical ideas in ways that help people understand how transportation can enhance the places we live, work, and play. I’m looking forward to being a part of that synergy.”
Audra graduated from Boise State University with a Master of Public Administration in Community Planning as well as Masters and Bachelors degrees in English from the University of Idaho. She is certified with the American Institute of Certified Planners, and is a member of the Georgia Transit Association, WTS and the American Planning Association.
