At the Westgate Resort & Spa, a lakefront resort located near Orlando, Florida's bustling I-4 tourist corridor, VHB worked in close collaboration with a water park design team to deliver civil engineering and landscape design in support of a new water park, complete with a wave pool, lazy river, and waterslide. Our comprehensive Preliminary Landscape Architecture Plan detailed the selection and placement of landscaping elements that aligned with the technical standards of Orange County’s Land Development Code. Emphasizing sustainability and the use of native plantings, our landscape architects created lush tropical treatments that blended hardscape surfacing, decorative railings, and perimeter plantings with stormwater management systems.
