This mixed-use development features upscale retail, office, luxury residences and a mix of entertainment uses. Armada Hoffler relied on VHB’s deep relationships with local agencies and understanding of complex urban design to facilitate the entitlements for several phases of the development and address site constraints. We modified the street and pedestrian patterns to allow for wider sidewalks, which was key to activating the outdoor dining spaces. We then developed a stormwater system that supported the master stormwater management plan and made certain the system worked seamlessly with the utilities for this 17-block center. This approach resulted in minimal conflicts and ease of construction. Town Center is a vibrant destination that serves as an economic catalyst for the city and broader region.
