VHB provided landscape architectural design services for the vibrant Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park, Florida. The client’s goal was to expand the campus by constructing additional skilled nursing, independent living, and memory care facilities on approximately 17 acres. VHB developed a thoughtful, vibrant plan for residents that included a Memory Garden with walking paths, seating areas, fencing, special paving, fountain features, raised gardening planters, site furnishings, and lawn areas that featured environmentally-friendly, non-toxic planting improvements. The team incorporated all five senses into the design, providing an immersive experience for elderly residents and their visitors.
