Slate at Merrimack

VHB partnered with Monahan Companies and LeCesse Development Corporation to provide full permitting, design, and site and civil engineering services for Slate at Merrimack, a 224-unit multifamily rental community located in Merrimack Park Place, a mixed-use development. Slate features one- and two-bedroom apartments at market rate with building amenities such as a pool, game room, fitness center, and pet-washing station, and is conveniently located next to the Merrimack Premium Outlets.

VHB previously collaborated with Monahan Companies for Phase I of this project to develop a masterplan for the multi-use Merrimack Park Place, which included plans for Slate, as well as hotels, restaurants, and 100,000 square feet of office space. After the real estate market shift following the COVID-19 pandemic, Phase II was amended and approved to include 178 additional residential units, 7,400 square feet of retail space, and 5,000 square feet of office space. Completion of Phase II will begin in Fall 2025 and result in a grand total of 402 new residential units, further shaping Merrimack Park Place into a vibrant community where residents can live, eat, and play.
