In response to the community’s growing need for emergency services, South Nassau Communities Hospital turned to VHB to deliver permitting, engineering, and design in support of the Southwest Addition, a new Central Utility Plan, and infrastructure upgrades to satisfy critical program needs. VHB’s management of the regulatory permit process—from traffic and parking analyses to assessments of stormwater, air quality, noise, land use, and other impacts—helped to streamline the approvals process. Collectively, South Nassau’s efforts will have a significant positive impact on the level of healthcare available to the regional community.
