
Airport sustainability often centers on energy-related innovations such as solar panels, electric equipment, and LED lighting. But on-site bee programs are helping to boost an airport’s sustainability portfolio as well as support local agriculture. Creating pollinator habitat on airport land benefits native and managed bee species that help to pollinate food crops.
