Since the mid-1980s, VHB has been part of Sentara’s mission to develop and establish a medical campus in southern Virginia Beach. VHB collaborated with Sentara by facilitating the site selection process, followed by master planning and engineering design. We also provided a full range of landscape design services envisioned as a calming atmosphere conducive to pedestrian activity. Our creative, practical solutions helped Sentara overcome utility and permitting challenges on a fast-track program so construction could begin ahead of schedule and Sentara could begin addressing the healthcare needs of the growing population.
